"The property of this Company comprises the celebrated mines of Jesus Maria, La Balvanera, La Soledad, La Vascongada, El Rayo, Belen, El Rincon, La Cruz, San Librado, San Antonio, Gachupinos, and Guadalupe del Ranchito...."Page 3.

"[S]ituated in the famous Mining District of Jesus Maria, in the Sierra Madre (Mother Mountains) of the State of Chihuahua, Mexico, a section of country which has been pronounced by Humboldt and other scientific men, as the richest mineral portion of Mexico"--Page 3.

"This is an extremely rare in-house publication for shareholders and the management of a mining company exploiting the world's richest silver deposits. Other metals and essential minerals were and are being mined there as well. The Sierra Madre had been pronounced by Humboldt and his fellow scientists as Mexico's most important mining area. 'On due investigation it has been estimated that these mines can, in their present working condition, easily furnish a hundred and twenty tons of ore daily ... The ores of the Company's mines are argentiferous, charged with gold, docile in their reduction, being free from any rebellious ingredients ... The Sierra Madre has never been subject to the incursions of the savages, who have devastated many other parts of the Northern portion of the Republic, nor has it suffered from the frequent revolutions and civil wars' (pp. 3/4). This 19th-century company is, we are sure, now part of Sierra Madre Mining, the U.S.-based mining exploration company."--Henry Sotheran Ltd., bookseller.
