Commentary
Today Degirmenyolu (formerly Parlasan), to the east of the Tuz Gölü, the bishopric of Parnassos appears in the fourth century and is listed as a suffragan of Mokissos in Cappadocia III from the seventh to the thirteenth century (Darrouzès, Notitiae, no. 1, l. 411; no. 13, l. 464).
