Inscription in three lines. Indeterminate border.

ΟΥΛ

Μιχαλ τῷ σῷ δούλ

Translation

Θεοτόκε βοήθει τῷ οἰκέτῃ σου Μιχαὴλ τῷ σῷ δούλῳ.

Theotokos, help your servant, Michael, your servant.

Commentary

It is unclear why two different forms of "to your servant" would be put on this seal; it is possible it was a mistake, with the two sides conceived of separately, or it is possible that the roughness of the remaining obverse obscures its true reading.
