Commentary
In his unpublished catalogue of the Shaw collection, Laurent reads Ἀγαπίου μοναχοῦ; Agapios is less likely than Michael, as it would require iotacism to explain the Η. An alternative reading of this monogram would be be merely the name Μιχαηλίου (Michaelios), but it seems more likely that we would find the somewhat common name Michael in conjunction with the somewhat common title of monk.
