Translation

Lord, help your servant Stephen chartoularios and protonotarios of Thessalonica.

Commentary

The combination of the offices of chartoularios (subordinate to the sekreton of the stratiotikon or of the genikon: Listes, 113, line 29; 115, line 15) and of protonotarios (subordinate to the sekreton of the sakelle: Listes, 121, line 6) is not unique: see Zacos, Seals II, no. 1078.
