Bust of St. John Prodromos holding a long processional cross in his left hand. In two columns: |Ι̅Ο||Δ, : Ὁ ἅ(γιος) Ἰω(άννης) ὁ Πρ(ό)δ(ρομος). Border of dots.

Translation

Κωνσταντίνῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαροκανδιδάτῳ καὶ πρωτονοταρίῳ τοῦ Πετρίου.

Constantine imperial spatharokandidatos and protonotarios of the Petrion.

Commentary

Since Laurent did not illustrate the Orghidan specimen, we cannot be certain that it is parallel with our seal. It is likely that it is, even though Laurent read the owner's name as John.

The protonotarios was the assistant to the kourator of the Petrion.
