Translation

Κύριε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Θεοδώρῳ ὑπάτῳ καὶ βασιλικῷ ἀσικρῆτις.

Lord, help your servant Theodore, hypatos and imperial asekretis.

Commentary

The parallel specimen (BZS.1955.1.1172permits identification of the monogram as type VIII.

Laurent, in his unpublished catalogue of the Shaw collection, points out that this may be the Theodore present at the council of 869 (Mansi, XVI, 341 E).
