Translation

Κύριε βοήθει Βασηλείῳ τῷ ἐνδοξοτάτῳ προέδρῳ.

Lord, help Basil, the most illustrious proedros.

Commentary

In all likelihood this seal can be attributed to Basil Lekapenos, appointed endoxotatos proedros of the Senate by Nikephoros II Phokas shortly after his accession in 963.
