A cross potent. Along the circumference an invocative inscription. Border of dots.

Κύριε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ

Reverse

Inscription of four, possibly five, lines, preceded (and perhaps followed) by an ornament. Border of dots.



Ἰωάννῃ βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ καὶ έπὶ τοῦ ίδικοῦ λόγου

Translation

Κύριε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῶ Ἰωάννῃ βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ καὶ έπὶ τοῦ ίδικοῦ λόγου.

Lord, help your servant John, imperial protospatharios and epi tou idikou logou.

Commentary

The restitution of the last two words of the inscription is conjectural as there may have been an ornament on the last line, similar to the one found above the first line.
