Translation

Θεοπέμπτου πατρικίου καὶ γενικοῦ λογοθέτου ἀποθήκης Κωνσταντινουπόλεος.

(Seal of) Theopemptos patrikios and general logothete of the apotheke of Constantinople.

Commentary

The identity of the emperor is easily confirmed from the fact that the figure holds a globus surmounted by a patriarchal cross. Such a cross in this context is unusual, but is to be seen on the gold coinage of Theodosios III (see DOC II.2, pl. XLVI, 1.b.1).
