Standing figure of St. Nicholas holding the book and offering a blessing. Inscription: |νι|κ|ολ||ο|σ : ὁ ἅ(γιος) Νικόλαος. Border of dots.

Reverse

Inscription of four lines, a cross above. Border of dots.

σῴζοις Ὠπόν [με σὸν] λάτριν Κων(σταντίνον)

Translation

σῴζοις Ὠπόν με σὸν λάτριν Κωνσταντίνον.

May you preserve me, your servant Constantine Opos.

Commentary

This reading differs from that given in other editions (e.g., we read σῴζοις as the first word instead of σκέποις), but the poor state of preservation, especially in the second line of the reverse, leaves the first part of this metrical inscription in some doubt.
