Commentary

The reverse clearly contains a word in the inscription before chartoularios, however it cannot be understood; the restitution of letters here are mere guesses and cannot be trusted. The obverse monogram is likely Peter, as indicated by the presence of the π, ε, and ο, though the rest is cut off; there is not a large amount of room left for the top arm of the cruciform for the ρ, τ, and υ, but their presence is possible, and actually quite likely at this location.
