Bust of the archangel Michael, wings outstpread, holding a trefoil sceptre in his right hand and a globus in his left. On either side, epigraphy: μχ : Μ(ι)χ(αήλ). Border of dots.

Reverse

Inscription of six lines, a decoration above. Border of dots.

Translation

ἀρχιστράτηγε, σῷζε σὸν Ἰωάννην κριτὴν Ἀπρ... τῷ ....

Commander-in-chief, preserve your (servant) John ..., judge ...

Commentary

Letters left by a previous strike are visible along the circumference.

The letters ΑΠΡ are visible at the beginning of the fifth line, perhaps introducing a placename. Of the family name with which the inscription ends no trace remains.
