Commentary

An alternate reading of the reverse monogram is Ἀρριανοῦ (Arrianos). The obverse could be Θεοδωσίου (Theodosios), however this is less likely, because it would be a misspelling (Θεοδοσίου). This seal seems to contain a patronymic, as the obverse is in the dative while the reverse is in the accusative.
