Translation

Ἡλιάδου χαρτουλαρίου.

(Seal of) Heliades chartoularios.

Commentary

The only problematic portion of this seal is the worn left letter on the obverse cruciform monogram. If it is a Λ, as interpreted here, the name reads Ἡλιάδου, however if it is a Ν, the name reads Δανιηλίου.

There is another Heliades chartoularios attested on a seal in our collection (BZS.1958.106.2085), and may represent the same person, however it comes from a different boulloterion.
