Obverse

In the center, the Virgin standing, facing, nimbate, wearing chiton and maphorion. She holds Christ before her who has nimbus cruciform. To l. and r., standing figures (likely angels) turned toward the Virgin, with heads bowed and hands raised toward the Infant, both wearing chiton and himation. The Left figure wears a nimbus, the right is unclear. Indeterminate border.

Commentary

Zacos identifies the two figures as angels, likely correctly. The right figure is likely mirroring the left, though a good portion of it has been struck off the flan. Πέτρου seems the best reading of the reverse seal, though as Zacos points out, Ἐυτροπίου is also possible.
