Ἀνανίου

Translation

Ἀνανίου.

(Seal of) Ananias.

Commentary

The lettering on the seal poses difficulties (the blank was too small), but it seems to read Ἀνανίου (Ananias), especially because there are two N's drawn at the right and left arms of the crucifix. Other possibilities include the less common Ἀννιανοῦ (Annanianos), or Ἰουλιανοῦ (Julian) whihc is made less likely by the duplication of the Ν instead of the insertion of an explicit Λ.
