Commentary

The reverse monogram is extremely difficult to resolve. Only the letters Π, Θ, Τ, Ο, and Υ are assured, the Κ is likely on the right arm of the cruciform, and a Σ can be found within it. The bottom arm is mere conjecture. Some form of the -σπαθαρο-  root seems likely, perhaps σπαθαροκανδιδάτου (spatharokandidatos).
