Translation

Θεοτόκε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Πέτρῳ πατρικίῳ, ἀνθυπάτῳ καὶ κριτῇ τῶν Θρᾳκησίων τῷ Γυμνῷ.

Mother of God, help your servant Peter Gymnos, patrikios, anthypatos, and judge of the Thrakesioi.

Commentary

This seal and BZS.1955.1.3043 come from the same boulloterion. The family name Gymnos is attested in the late eleventh and twelfth centuries: Skylitzes cont., 183; Choniates, 72 (an archon of Corfou). See also BZS.1951.31.5.238.
