Commentary
The inscription consists of a dodecasyllabic verse. The surname on this seal could also be read as Katakalos. Several other seals bearing the name Constantine Katakalon/Katakalos are known, which may or may not have belonged to the same individual. They are listed in Jordanov, Corpus II, pp. 200-201.
