Translation

Θεοτόκε βοήθει Ἰωάννῃ (?) μοναχῷ.

Theotokos, help the monk John.

Commentary

The reverse is only lightly imprinted because it is overstruck and hence quite difficult to read; the right side of the inscription is almost entirely effaced. The name "John" is restored here tentatively, as a two-letter name (ΙΩ) which could fill the small gap in which a name must be present.
