Translation

Nicetae Κουβικουλαρίου βασιλικοῦ χαρτουλάριου.

(Seal of) Nicetas, koubikoularios and imperial chartoularios.

Commentary

The monogram is difficult to decipher, as it seems to be in Latin, though there is no "S" for Stephen present (though there is a Σ), as Zacos suggests. This likely indicates that this is not a monogram of Stephen at all, but a Latinized Νικήτας: Nicetae, though this name does not account for the seemingly present F. The same monogram (also a koubikoularios) is attested by Zacos-Veglery, no. 498.
