Βασίλειος φὺς εὐκλεους Δουκῶν γένους καὶ Καματηρῶν αὐτάνακτος Αὐσόνων γυναικαδελφός ἐν γραφαῖς καὶ πρακτέοις τῶν γραμμάτων τὸν τύπον ὡς κλεῖθρον φέρω.
Sprung from the illustrious Doukas and Kamateros families, brother-in-law of the emperor of the Romans, Basil presents this inscribed seal as the lock on his correspondence and acts.
