Commentary
We know two more ek prosopou of the Kibyrraiotai, John (early ninth century) and Eustathios (early tenth); both were governors of the province and were considered strategoi without bearing the title: they were a kind of acting strategoi. Cf. the Life of St. Antonios the Younger in Papadopoulos-Kerameus I, 194-200, 202; De Adm. Imp., chap. 50, line 174 ff.
