Translation

Εὐμάθιον τὸν δοῦκα τὸν Φιλοκάλην πρωτονωβελλίσιμον, παρθένε, σκέποις.

May you, Virgin, protect Eumathios Philokales, doux and protonobellisimos.

Commentary

Eumathios Philokales is known to have been governor of Cyprus twice between the years 1093 and 1118; he appears to have combined this office with the title of protonobellisimos between 1099 and 1102. See PBW : Eumathios 102.
