Obverse

In the center, a bust of the Mother of God orans, with the medallion of Christ before her. On either side, epigraphy: μ|ρθ|υ : Μ(ήτη)ρ Θ(εο)ῦ. Within a double border of dots, a circular inscription beginning with a cross at twelve o'clock.

Reverse

Bust of St. George holding a spear over his right shoulder. On either side, epigraphy: |γ|ε|ρ|γˊ: ὁ ἅ(γιος) Γεώργ(ιος). Within a double border of dots, a circular inscription beginning at twelve o'clock.

λογστπαντιμ

(καὶ) λόγους τοῦ Παντίμου

Translation

γραφὰς σφραγίζω καὶ λόγους τοῦ Παντίμου.

I seal the letters and words of Pantimos.

Commentary

An unusual specimen, both in design and in the instance of a rare name otherwise unattested on seals.
