Obverse
The Mother of God enthroned, holding the medallion of Christ on her lap. On either side, inscription: μ̅θ̅: Μ(ήτηρ) Θ(εοῦ). Along the circumference, a circular inscription beginning with a cross at one o'clock. Border of dots.

Translation
λιταῖς Μηνᾶ μάρτυρος, τοῦ Θεοῦ Μῆτερ, φύλαττε τὸν σὸν οἰκέτην Θεοφάνην.
Mother of God, through the intercession of the martyr Menas, protect your servant Theophanes.
