Cross potent between the figures of two emperors. Details indistinct. Faint traces of inscription visible at left: |.

Inscription of five lines, bottom line effaced. We know from parallel specimens that a cross between tendrils preceded and followed the inscription.

Ἰνδικτιὼν ιδ᾽   Ἰωάννῃ ὑπάτῳ χρυσεψητῇ καὶ ἄρχοντη τοῦ βλαττίου.

The reading of this seal has been restored with reference to its better preserved parallel, BZS 1958.106.662.
